Our Personal Touch

Our passion was fueled from our own experience as we approached our wedding. I believe that communicating with our brides & couples is important! They might need help planning whether they would like to a first look, or what kind of exit they should do, or even what time they should start the getting ready process. We want to be there for our couples as much as we can leading up to their wedding!

From our experience we learned that we need to talk to our brides to learn more about them, their venue, and even their family members. By having our meeting 2 weeks before the wedding, it will help us walk through that day - of - timeline. As we got to our own wedding, we felt like our photographer was unfamiliar with our venue. That is the prime reason for why we felt that it was important to bring that 2 week meeting into our process with our couples! We never want to talk you into a situation feeling unfamiliar with you or your venue!

From being in your shoes before, I always try to think of you guys first. When processing how I make our bride guide folders or setting up for our bridal shows; I always think about you guys and how I would want things if I was in your shoes again. Sometimes I think business owners can get caught up in ourself and forget about the customer. I never try to forget about my brides! I always try to make sure I am checking in with them as we lead up to their wedding and make them feel like they aren't forgotten!

Our Style

Our style developed when I was studying photography for my undergraduate! I found a passion for photographing in film and making things seem as real as they were when it was originally shot. While shooting on film, it taught me to see things differently from colors to angles. Our style changes between couple to couple or from where the sessions/weddings were shot. Our goal was to match the style to our couples and how they want their photographs to look. That is why when you look at our past weddings and engagements they range from light and airy to some darker tones in there.

When working with me, you may find things that I gravitate towards! I LOVE mirrors. I'm sure you have probably heard me talk about it once or twice in my blogs. But, seriously, they are amazing. One of the many reasons for why I love mirrors is because they are perfect for framing my subjects. This could be my brides getting ready or even the detail shots! Another things that I love incorporating in my photographs is shadows. I think shadows highlight the special moments or add lines to where I want your eyes to go.

What style is your favorite?

Do you prefer the light and airy or the darker tones? Or both?

Tiffany & Nic

The Luci's decided to have a first look before their ceremony. After their ceremony and they were able to get some food in their bellies we went out and took some more photos! The mountains had a very dark and mysterious vibe that I just loved! I wanted to follow that as much as I could.

Kayla & Kevin

The Pucketts had an early wedding that allowed us to go to the Blue Ridge Parkway after their exit! We had some much fun working with the blue mountains during golden hour! Golden hour up on the parkway gave a beautiful light and airy vibe for their photographs that I just couldn't let go of!
